Daryl Duarte

Daryl Duarte is a former technology executive known for his formidable intellect and creative skills across multiple disciplines. A native of Barrington, Rhode Island, and a graduate of Brown University, Daryl moved to Connecticut in 1984 to join a training program at United States Surgical Corporation. During his tenure at U.S. Surgical, Daryl navigated both acquisitions and spinoffs to eventually assume an executive leadership role as vice president of information services for the surgical division of Covidien. After a brief sabbatical from corporate life from 2011-2014, Daryl assumed a similar role at Hologic, where he worked until retirement.

Daryl is married to David Schiffer, a landscape architect, with whom he lives in a 1928 storybook colonial house and property that they have transformed into their dream home, complete with gardens, pond, swimming pool and many outdoor living spaces for entertaining friends and family.

Daryl’s many hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening, plant propagation, and collecting, all of which he shares on social media, including instagram @darylmakesitnice and Facebook @daryl.duarte.
